At our hotel, the Receptionist will be responsible for greeting guests upon arrival, registering them, assigning rooms, handling check-in and check-out, answering inquiries about the hotel and area, managing guest accounts, and providing excellent customer service throughout their stay, which often includes tasks such as answering the telephone, handling complaints, and assisting with special requests.
Key Responsibilities
Check in guests, verify ID, collect payment information, and assign rooms.
Process guest checkouts, settle accounts and manage any final requests.
Respond to inquiries regarding room availability, hotel facilities, local attractions and direct calls as needed.
Address guest concerns, provide information about hotel amenities, and resolve issues promptly.
Track room availability, manage room assignments, and manage room changes.
Process payments for room charges, additional services and incidentals.
Record guest details, reservation information and other relevant data in the hotel management system.
Provide basic information about local restaurants, transportation options, and attractions.
Skills required for a hotel receptionist:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
